WOOHOO IT’S FRIDAY, GUYS!

And you know what that means! IT’S PAGE DAY!

We get to hear it from Martin now – why writing is so important to him.

Stories are magical, aren’t they? I remember how important they were to me when I was growing up, either real or fictional. Many times when I felt alone, I found courage in how my favorite characters dealt with their own struggles. And I still do!

And now I want to give back, and really, really hope I can bring joy and courage to readers with these comics. I felt very close to Martin while writing/drawing this scene because of that!

So I sneaked in many references to other famous stories and from two of my favorite books growing up – The Secret Garden’s key and Dustfinger from “Inkheart” (as a dog, of course! xD)

Drawing this page was crazy, but it felt so good to work on. Nostalgic, to say the least!
